Hitachi Field Interview - West Mine

Batı Maden increases production with Hitachi ZW 550-5B

Sending the tundra gray stone it produces to many countries around the world, Batı Maden A.Ş. is increasing its production and investments in the new year. The company using the Kawasaki 115Z7 chose the Hitachi ZW550-5B, also supplied by ENKA Pazarlama, in its latest investment, due to its satisfaction with the performance of this machine.

Hakan Ural, one of the founders of Batı Maden, has been working in the marble industry since 96. Ural, who has undertaken duties in different fields in marble mining, stated that they founded Batı Maden A.Ş. in 2015 and that they have reached important market shares in the world markets with the tundra gray they are currently producing. Stating that there were significant problems all over the world due to the pandemic in 2020, Ural says that they were also afraid in the early stages of the epidemic and continues as follows: “We were afraid because China, the center of the epidemic, was also our biggest market. But then our fears came to nothing. Thanks to the devoted work of our team and the intense efforts of our dealers in China, we tripled our sales in 2020 compared to 2019. "

The quarried stone is used in 98 countries

It was opened in January 2015 in Isparta, where tundra gray is currently produced. Tundra gray stone has an important share in the marble market worldwide and there is a high demand. Batı Maden A.Ş. increases its production capacity to meet this demand. Ural moment the US, said they are making efforts for Middle East countries and India markets "We provide the raw stone to around 15 large firms in Turkey. Our stones processed and exported by these companies are exported to approximately 98 different countries. As a company, we export directly to around 10 countries, but our stones reach 98 countries ”.

ENKA Pazarlama is always with us

In the company's Isparta quarry, production is carried out with the Kawasaki 115Z7 supplied by ENKA Pazarlama and the newly purchased Hitchi ZW550-5B. Speaking about the machines they use, Ural said, “We are satisfied with the performance of these machines and the services of ENKA Pazarlama. ENKA Pazarlama stands behind the machine it sells, when necessary, we can easily access the service and get results. In addition, our operators are satisfied with the machines they use. They let us know that they are particularly satisfied with the power, the view of the cabin. I recommend these machines to anyone who does marble work ”.

Beauty offered from nature to the world

Company partner İlhan Doğan has also been working in the mining industry for nearly thirty years. Defining their work as "offering beauty from nature to the world", Doğan states that their biggest helpers in this process are construction machines. Stating that 2020 was a very good year for companies, Doğan says, “We have increased our target for 2021, and we aim to double the production with new machinery investments”. Expressing that there are marble quarries in Konya, Milas and Isparta region, Doğan says that they are working to increase production due to the worldwide interest in the stone they produce and their capacity target for 2021 is 20 thousand tons.

Machine selection Doğan stated that the construction machine is one of the most important issues and main cost items in marble business. Therefore, making the right choice of machinery is of vital importance. "We rely on ENKA Pazarlama and the machines it supplies.

Our most important criterion for the machine is the institutionalism of the company that supplies the machine. After that, we decide by looking at the power, service, fuel efficiency and other technical features of the machine. ENKA Pazarlama meets our expectations at all these points. We are satisfied with the technical competence and strength of the Kawasaki and Hitachi machines we use.

These are the machines that make important contributions to our tough jobs ”.

Machines that speed up production Fikret Güneş, Operations Manager of Batı Maden A.Ş, says that they own one of the largest mines in the Isparta region and produce an average of 15 thousand tons per month. Saying that they especially examined criteria such as dismantling power, thrust power, and excavation power while choosing the machines they will use in the mine, Güneş says that the Kawasaki 115Z7 and the newly purchased Hitachi ZW550-5B are currently working in the quarry. Saying that the Kawasaki 115 Z7 has an important role in production thanks to its power and technical features suitable for marble quarry conditions, Güneş says, "For example, the Kawasaki 115Z7 both facilitates and accelerates the production process by pushing 250 tons of stone alone." Güneş stated that the biggest factor in their purchase of the new Hitachi ZW550-5B was their satisfaction with the Kawasaki 115Z7,

"Power and fuel efficiency also played a role in this decision."

"Kawasaki does what another machine does three times in one go" Güneş emphasizes the importance of the thrust and lifting power of the machines in marble production. “As a result, we look at what the machine produces. Operators should also consider this when choosing a machine. When we lay down the mirror slice, we have to remove that stone from there as soon as possible. I can say that the Kawasaki 115Z7 is unrivaled in this regard. Compared to the other machines we use, the Kawasaki 115Z7 is at least three points ahead of the others. I lift the excavation that I lift with a machine of another brand in three times with this machine in one go. It also performs twice as much as its counterparts in pushing. "We chose the Hitachi ZW550-5B because of this performance of the Kawasaki 115Z7 on the field," he says.

Güneş finally touches on the issue of after-sales services and completes his words as follows: “We are satisfied with the service. We can easily reach the service staff whenever necessary and our request is met quickly. I would like to thank them for their interest in our company and for not keeping us waiting in the field. ”
